As an organization of volunteers, we must rely on each other for help in gathering and reporting that information. Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager, will discuss the the international scope of Chevrolet which is now on an aggressive expansion campaign throughout the world at the Thursday, October 18, meeting of the International Motor Press Association.
Ed Staehlin, Motorola’s Director of Product Management, Automotive and Navigation Products, will discuss the latest trends, advancements in in-car infotainment – the combination of information (from navigation to Internet access to real-time traffic reports) and entertainment options during the May 17 IMPA meeting at the 3 West Club, 3 West 51st Street, New York.
Traffic: everyone who drives in it complains about it, frets over it and, often, allows it to become a major intrusion on their daily lives. Joe Nolan and John Del Giorno of Metro Traffic, which provides up-to-the-minute traffic reports to more than 2,200 radio and television stations in the United States, will discuss how this information is gathered and disseminated as well as what is coming in the future for traffic reporting at the March 15 IMPA meeting.

Scott Keogh, Audi's chief marketing officer, will be cutting short a headquarters trip to address IMPA in the company's new New York home.

General Motors chief of sales and marketing Mark LaNeve will be IMPA guest speaker Thursday, May 19. LaNeve, who has risen quickly at GM, from head of the Cadillac brand, to head of marketing and advertising for all brands and now to sales and marketing chief in less than 18 months will discuss the enormous marketing and brand management challenges confronting GM as it sorts out what the world’s biggest automaker will look like by end of decade.
The program begins at noon at the National Women's Republican Club, 3 West 51st Street, New York. Tickets are $35 for members, $45 for non members.
