As the automotive landscape grows more competitive every day more car buyers are turning to the findings of experts like Consumer Reports to help make their next automotive purchase, especially when it comes to reliability issues. Journalists, too, look to the independent organization for their own research needs. At the April 21 IMPA luncheon, David Champion, Sr., Director Auto Test Center Consumer Reports, will present a behind-the-scenes look at Consumer Reports’ Auto Test Center and discuss reliability, safety and quality levels he and his team of engineers feel consumers have come to expect in today’s marketplace. He will also discuss the rival rankings of CR and J.D. Power and the accuracy and reliability of both. The meeting, beginning with a noon reception, will be at the National Woman’s Republican Club, 3 West 51st Street, New York. Tickets are $35 for members, $45 for non members.
