Flint wins Loeb Award for business journalism

Long-time IMPA member Jerry Flint was awarded the Gerald Loeb Awards for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism in the commentary category for his Forbes “Backseat Driver” columns at a gala June 30 ceremony in the Plaza Hotel (New York).

The Loeb Awards are among the highest honors in the profession, with winners selected by a panel of prominent judges (this year’s included Paul Steiger of The Wall Street Journal, Lou Dobbs of CNN, John Huey of Time and Matthew Winkler of Bloomberg) on the basis of quality of reporting and writing, news and analytical value, and originality and exclusivity.
