The inaugural IMPA SPRING BRAKE Wednesday, June 4, will allow members to sample “green” vehicles in the bucolic Hudson River Valley. Manufacturers have been asked to bring what they consider their most environmentally friendly vehicles to Bear Mountain State Park to allow IMPA members a day of driving them on the roads in this park and the adjoining Harriman State Park to discover the state of green vehicles today and (if anyone brings concept models) and tomorrow.
The event is conceived as a “Test Days Light:” no formal dinner, no major commitment in terms of time or money. Bear Mountain is less than an hour’s drive North and West of Manhattan. For this initial program, members will be charged $25 to partake, which will include lunch as well as refreshments throughout the day. Tickets will not be sold in advance, but RSVPs (a simple note to firstname.lastname@example.org) would be appreciated to provide the oranizers with an idea of attendees (for catering purposes).
Volunteers to help with organizing vehicles, manning the entrance/exit and the like are needed. Please let us know (again, email at email@example.com) if you would be willing to lend a hand.
