Tony Swan wins 2004 Ken Purdy Award

Tony Swan, Car and Driver’s executive editor, received the 2004 Ken Purdy Award from Slaton White during the IMPA Breakfast kicking off this year’s New York International Automobile Show.

Swan captured the journalism honor with “The 24 Hours of Dudenhofen A sparkless push for economical speed records with a unique finish,” a first-person account of the grueling and intense pursuit of a diesel-powered automobile endurance record.
