Volkswagen of America’s CEO Jonathan Browning, on a special date – the SECOND THURSDAY, December 9th – will be the final 2010 speaker.

Jonathan Browning, named Volkswagen Group of America’s CEO in October, will be the December speaker on a special date – the SECOND THURSDAY, December 9, with an overview on the U.S. arm of the dynamic European automotive giant.

The program begins with a noon reception, followed by Browning’s presentation and a question-and-answer session, all at the 3 West Club, 3 West 51st Street, New York, NY. Members are admitted for $35, others $45.

In June of 2010, Jonathan Browning assumed responsibility for global directing of the Volkswagen Group’s National Sales Company. On October 1, 2010, Browning will become President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. and President for the Volkswagen of America brand.

Jonathan Browning has held numerous executive sales and marketing posts worldwide at General Motors (GM) and Ford Motor Company. He was Vice President of European Sales, Service and Marketing at the GM Group from 2001 to 2008, and also Chairman of Vauxhall Motors from 2006 to 2008, becoming GM Vice President of Global Sales, Service and Marketing in 2008. Browning worked for the Ford Group from 1997 to 2001, first as Executive Director of Marketing for Ford Europe and then as the Global Managing Director of Jaguar.

Browning was born on June 21, 1959 in Taunton, England. He received his masters of business administration from Duke University.
