IMPA MEETING – Negotiating the ever-increasing traffic morass will be discussed by Joe Nolan and John Del Giorno of Metro Traffic at the March 15 meeting.

Traffic: everyone who drives in it complains about it, frets over it and, often, allows it to become a major intrusion on their daily lives. Joe Nolan and John Del Giorno of Metro Traffic, which provides up-to-the-minute traffic reports to more than 2,200 radio and television stations in the United States, will discuss how this information is gathered and disseminated as well as what is coming in the future for traffic reporting at the March 15 IMPA meeting. Metro Networks, which provides the traffic for both WABC-TV and WPLJ-FM in New York, also provides reports to satellite radio, Web sites, OnStar and direct to consumer’s PDAs, reaching more than 100 persons million each day. The program begins with a noon reception followed by lunch, the presentation and a question-and-answer session at the 3 West Club, 3 West 51st Street, NY. Tickets are $35 for members, $45 for others.
