As they grow in popularity; performance, value, sustainability and occupant protection will become even more critical and on Tuesday, June 18th Dr. Jody Hall, vice president for the automotive market of the Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI) discussed consumer preferences in these areas as well as the automotive industry’s commitment to using steel. SMDI provided a firsthand glimpse at what a ride in an autonomous vehicle may look and feel like through a virtual reality experience.
